At HOST, we are proud of the services we offer and confident that we can provide you with just what you need. To help ensure this, here are our terms and conditions which we would ask you to read – they provide useful information to help make both the booking process and your stay with us a great success. • Accommodation is usually booked from Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday. If this is not possible for you we will try to make special arrangements.

• Accommodation can be booked for a minimum of one week.

• Accommodation fees are:
  o Valid only for the person & dates specified
  o Non refundable if the student arrives late or leaves early
  o Not reduced for accommodation for part of a week
  o Payable directly to HOST- not to host family

• A minimum deposit of £130 accommodation fee is required at the time of booking

• An accommodation finding fee of £30 applies for each search.

• Accommodation can be extended provided adequate notice is given.

• If you are staying for 2 weeks or more, it may be possible to change your accommodation, subject to advanced notice of one week and giving adequate reasons. We will then try to place you with another family. If you do not give a week’s notice you will be asked to pay one week’s accommodation in Lieu of Notice.

• The majority of accommodation available to students in London is located in Zones 2, 3; this is equivalent to 30-50 minutes of actual travelling time. Please note that there are 6 zones in London, so zones 1-3 are still quite convenient for our big city. However, during the high season or for late bookings or as a requirement we can offer alternative excellent accommodation in Zones 4 and 5.

• HOST will make every effort to meet your accommodation requirements regarding diet, pets, smoking, etc. To enable us to do this, it is important that you let us know your requirements as early as possible, preferably at the time of booking. Please note that HOST can only arrange accommodation that is available at any given time.

• You can book a single or a twin room. Twin rooms can only be booked for 2 students coming together

• Twin or triple rooms can only be booked when 2 or 3 people are coming together

• Before you leave your country we will send you all details of your accommodation, including a map with directions and details of your airport transfer pick-up if you have requested it.

• If you have not ordered an airport transfer you must contact your Host family to tell them when you are arriving. This is important so that they are at home to welcome you.

• Some of the accommodation is with single persons / parents or couples rather than families. This reflects the social structure of London.

• If you have booked accommodation on either a Bed & Breakfast or Half Board basis, you will be provided with a full continental breakfast in the morning. You will be able to take a bath or shower daily. You will be given a key to the house, and will be responsible for keeping your room tidy and making your own bed. Reasonable behaviour is expected from students. Any damages or breakages caused must be paid for.

• All accommodation fees and deposits (with exceptions detailed below) are non-refundable.

• If you cancel your accommodation or airport transfer with 2 week’s notice this must be done in writing to HOST. On receipt we will then arrange for the refund of any payments made, less the accommodation deposit of £130.

• If you cancel the accommodation with less than 2 week’s notice, there will be no refund in any circumstances. Accommodation booked may only be cancelled in blocks of complete weeks. One complete week's notice of cancellation is required. No refunds can be given for partial cancellation or where the notice period is less than 1 week

• All bank charges must be paid by the student. (Please add £10 to your fee).

• If your visa is refused , we will refund your fees excluding a £50 cancellation charge. A visa refusal letter from the Embassy must be provided for refunds.

  If we are unable to provide you with the accommodation or airport transfer service or a reasonable alternative, we will refund in full.

• HOST will attempt to resolve any dispute with a Host Family. Changes of accommodation are at the discretion of HOST and are subject to availability.
